Our after school photography clubs in Surrey are back for the Autumn term!
The summer holidays seem a distant memory and after school photography clubs in Surrey have started up again for the Autumn term. We love our after school clubs though so there are no complaints here!
Each week of the term we teach the students a new technical or compositional skill, or something to get them thinking outside the box. By the end of the term they will receive a photo journal with all of their favourite photographs from the term in it and we celebrate with a journal party. It is great fun and the kids love learning how to express themselves through photography.
To kick off the term our theme is ‘Who are you?’. This theme is designed to get the children thinking about how they can use the camera to show who they are. Through self portraits, acting out things they love to do and having fun trying out all of the crazy camera settings!
Inspiration
We start by showing the children photographs by famous photographers to inspire them. This week it was the work of Andy Gotts, Elliott Erwitt & Martine Franck.

The after school photography club children did amazing this week exploring who they are through the eyes of the lens! The photographs they have taken are brilliant!
