Indoor Photography for Rainy Days at After School Photography Club!
This week at after school photography club we had to practice indoor photography as the weather was horrible! Photography is a great rainy day activity so we had fun and the students learnt some great skills. Monday was dry, so we were able to stick to our original theme of ‘My School’. The students were asked to creatively photograph things they loved about their school, inspired by the playful street photography work of Alex Webb.

The rest of the week has been wet weather, so this is where our indoor photography for rainy days begins! We decided to mix it up a bit, as on a Tuesday we teach 2 different schools at the same time. Our first school were taught all about taking fun portrait photographs. We brought with us various backdrops and dressing up props for fun photography, setting them mini challenges throughout the lesson.

And our final theme for the week was light drawing! We brought in our homemade light sticks and loads of coloured torches for the students to play around with. We set different mini challenges to inspire them to try lots of techniques. They had so much fun, the room was filled with “ooh’s” and “aah’s”!
