This week at our after school photography club the students have been photographing blur!
Blur is the topic for this weeks clubs. We usually talk to the children about how blur is what they want to avoid, but this week we have been experimenting with using it to create interesting, abstract images. We were encouraging the students to run, spin and jump whilst taking photos. They used self timer a lot so they could set it and then shake their camera or spin it around until it takes the shot. There’s a lot of guess work and luck in this theme but when it captures a cool shot it is so worth it! Finding colourful areas is key for this theme too, the more colourful the blur, the more eye-catching the image.
Check out their amazing abstract (almost painting like!) blur images below!

How cool are they?! Why not give it a go yourself by putting your camera on self timer and spinning or shaking it as much as you can and see what you can create!
