Our after school photography clubs are back for the Spring term!

We are excited that the Spring term has begin, bringing with it a new term of after school photographing clubs! This term we are at 5 schools, Tillingbourne Junior School, St. Pauls Primary School, Holy Trinity Primary School, Bushy Hill Junior School and Boxgrove Primary School. We have new students and new weekly themes and we are excited to see what the Spring term brings.

We have started the term with the theme ‘My camera does…’. This is a great theme to start with as it encourages the students to try out all the cameras settings and begin to learn their way around it. We use Nikon Coolpix W100 cameras which are packed with funky settings. They’re also water proof and shatter proof so perfect for our kids clubs!

As always we have been very impressed with the level of work they are producing already (some of them have never used a camera before!). Take a look at our Sharp Shooters (best 2 photos from each school) for this week:

Tillingbourne Junior School:

Harrison has used ‘highlight a colour’ to just capture the blues in the frame and no other colours

Millie has used the puddle to create this brilliant reflection composition

St. Pauls Primary School:

Isaac has changed his camera to photograph in black and white

Nina has used the ‘Shoot a close up’ setting to get this brilliant bugs-eye view of the grass

Holy Trinity Primary School:

Liam has used the ‘Cartoon effect’ to get this photograph

Rocco has used the blue sky as a lovely backdrop to silhouette the trees against

Bushy Hill Junior School:

Cici has used the ‘more vivid’ setting to make the colour of the sky even more colourful

Mia has used the ‘Mirror’ setting to create a crazy looking mirror image of the school play area

Boxgrove Primary School:

Nat has used the ‘more vivid’ setting to increase the intensity of the colours of this beautiful sunset

Sebastian has used the ‘Shoot a close up’ setting to get this nice sharp photograph of a daisy among the grass
