London Street Photography Course at Nikon School

This week we took to the streets of London for a Street Photography course based at Nikon School! Nikon School is located just off Oxford Street in London, making it the perfect base for this photography course for teens.

We started the day by heading to the park to practice aperture and find creative angles for interesting compositions.

It was then time to head out on the streets to capture movement. Using shutter speed to learn and practice techniques like panning, blurring and freezing motion.

Aperture and shutter speed are two very important factors in Street Photography. It allows the students to control their settings to make really creative photographs. It gives them so much more freedom than if they were to keep their cameras on auto! The other thing that is important is to think carefully about composition and telling a story through the lens. This isn’t always an easy task but the teens did amazingly!

We’ve been so impressed with their images, they’re all very creative and should be proud of what they achieved!

Here are a few of their best shots!
