This week’s lesson focused on capturing each child’s favourite element of summer. We asked them what summer means to them, and what is the first thing they think of when you say “Summer.”  Answers included holiday, playing, blue skies, ice cream and lots of colour! We got them to think about what blooms in the summer, the colours around them, their shadow and what they can do outside when it’s warm. In this session the kids learned how to translate their idea of summer into an image, they used their camera scene settings to aid in portraying their subject creatively. The students worked together, helping and directing one another to get the perfect shot.

We were lucky to have some a beautiful weather for photographing sunshine this week. We have been so impressed with the kids photographs. Look at the wonderful photos our students took this week:

The after school photography club children did an awesome job this week photographing all things sunshine! The photographs they have taken are amazing!
