This week at our After School Photography Clubs the theme is Water Photography!
Water photography is such a fun theme and our students always love it. It’s all about understanding and setting the camera settings to freeze the motion of the water. Capturing every droplet of water as it bursts from a water balloon or falls from a bucket. They also love that the cameras are completely waterproof, allowing them to fully immerse them in water.
We showed the children photographs by Christopher Anderson, Harold Edgerton and Peter Marlow to inspire their images.
The children used the ‘Take a series of pictures’ setting on their Nikon Coolpix W100. This setting allows the student to take lots of photos at once, making it easier to capture the perfect shot. See below some of the kids best photos from this week:
Tillingbourne Junior School, Chilworth
St. Pauls Primary School, Dorking
Holy Trinity Primary School, Guildford
Bushy Hill Junior School, Guildford
The after school photography club children did fantastic this week getting creative with their water images… even if they did get very wet! If you love these photos, you’ll love our Instagram page!
