Using whiteboards to add text to an image!
This week at after school photography club, the kids have been using whiteboards to add another dimension to their photos. The children were asked to use the whiteboard to insert text or make thought bubbles in their photos- just like you see in the comics! We asked them to think of what they love, what they’re good at, what they hate, what they’re thinking or feeling and then act it out around the board.
It takes a lot longer to compose an image when you another component to think about. But it allows the children to really plan out their photo and learn how text can play a powerful part of an image.
The children either worked by themselves using self timer, or they worked in pairs to help each other out.
The after school club kids had a great time this week, using their boards in all sorts of creative ways. Here’s some of their best photos!
