USIn the first week of our after school photography club the theme was “Who are you?!”. We asked the students to photograph everything about themselves, from their shoes to their bags, to their friends, their favourite bench, water fountain etc.. The first week was about encouraging the children to use all the settings such as black and white, bubble effect and mirrors, which they always find interesting.
The bad weather actually brought out the children’s imagination and they loved using the huge puddles to photograph reflections of themselves. They were also able to use the flash outdoors to show how this made water splashes look like they were completely still.
Some of the children had already attended our after school photography classes so were familiar with the cameras and they started to explore effects they hadn’t used before to develop their skills.
