This week at our after school photography clubs the students have turned into real Action Photographers!
Our photo club this week was all about action and capturing movement. Our students learned how to photograph fast moments such as running and jumping, throwing and catching a ball, cartwheels and catching their shadows. With our Nikon Coolpix W100 Cameras it was really easy, as the kids used the Action setting to freeze the motion. Our students learned how the burst setting helped to take multiple photographs, ensuring they caught the action from start to finish in their photographs. Have you ever taken an action selfie? Our students did! They used the self-timer to photograph themselves running, jumping and even flying through the air! Check out their great action shots below.
Typically on a week when we need sunshine, there was one rainy day that kept us inside and prompted us to do the opposite of freezing the action. Our students learned about slow shutter speed and how to use the fireworks setting to capture light drawings in a photograph. All that was needed was a dark classroom, torches and loads of imagination. The kids had it all in abundance and the photos they created were amazing!
The after school photography club students used shutter speed creatively this week. They have taken some brilliant action images along with some super fun drawing with light images!
