Landmark Historic Burford Bridge Hotel.
The Hotel was founded in 1254 as the ‘Fox and Hounds’, and parts of the existing hotel date back to the 16th century. Located next to the A42 Burford Bridge believed to be the original Roman crossing for the London to Chichester Stane Street roman road
Prominent past visitors included Queen Victoria, John Keats, Jane Austen, Wordsworth, Robert Louis Stevenson and Lord Nelson.
A perfect location for photography with the National Trusts Box Hill, Burford Meadows and the River Mole Stepping stones.
Denbies Vineyard is within walking distance and a 2-minute drive. Westhumble village and the Stepping Stones pub is a very short walk and only 5 mins by car to Dorking with its cafes, shops and restaurants.
