Our Easter Holiday photography course for kids and teens continues with our Capturing Spring course at Waddesdon Manor, Bucks
Waddesdon Manor is a beautiful house in the style of a 16th century french chateau, surrounded by endless amazing grounds. We love running photography courses here as there is so much to snap! This Easter Holiday we ran a full day ‘Capturing Spring’ photography course for 10-15 year olds. The weather wasn’t very spring like but we pushed through and had a really brilliant day.
The day started with our students learning all about focus, aperture and composition. These skills are so important when taking ‘Spring’ photographs. Flowers, close ups, trees, landscapes- they all require this knowledge. They practiced these skills inside and then we head out to practice around the grounds of Waddesdon Manor.
Waddesdon Manor had a whole meadow of daffodils as well as lovely flower beds which were perfect for the students to practice their new camera knowledge on. They took some wonderful photographs, check them out below:
In the afternoon we focused our attention to learning all about Shutter Speeds. The students learnt about how to use slow and fast shutter speeds correctly and creatively, and when is best to use them.
The students loved using shutter speeds to create brilliant photographs. They tried lots of techniques and produced some impressive photos!
Overall we had a brilliant day teaching the young people new photography techniques at Waddesdon Manor. We have had some brilliant feedback from them and look forward to seeing more of their images as they continue to grow and develop their new skill.
