Week 3 – Photographing ‘I love Summer because…’ at after school photography club

This weeks theme at our after school photography club is ‘I love Summer because…’. The after school club children will have to think about what summer means to them, and how they can photograph it. After we have discussed ideas, we will head outside and hope for sunshine! (Or not… it is an English summer after all!) The children will be encouraged to change their perspective often, changing up the angles to make their photos more interesting. Furthermore, we will be showing the children images taken by famous photographers to inspire them. These photographers include Constantine Manos, George Rodger and Martin Parr.

The main aim for this weeks after school photography club is for the children to learn how to portray a season into an image. As well as using their camera scene settings to aid in portraying their subject creatively.
