“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” – Elliott Erwitt

Elliot Erwitt will be the inspiration of today’s photography class for teens. We will look at his playful and witty street photographs and discuss how they inspire us to make our own. We will go over camera mechanics and settings, discussing how aperture, shutter speed and ISO will influence our images. Our students will photograph in colour and black and white, defining their eye for a interesting image, whilst keeping Erwitt’s playful nature in mind.

Brighton is a great place for photographs, and we want to our students to learn how to capture it through their camera lenses. Our students will learn how their camera works and what settings to use to capture the beauty of Brighton on today’s course.
