Our half term courses finished with our ‘Photographing Nature’ photography course for kids & teens at Hatchlands Park, Surrey.

Hatchlands Park in Surrey is the perfect place for a photographing nature. The grounds go on forever and has lots to offer. From wildlife to landscapes and plenty of flowers and foliage. We started with the kids (age 7-11) photography course in the morning where they learnt how to use their cameras, and which settings they’ll need to use throughout the course. We went over the landscape and close up settings as well as the action setting for capturing moving animals! Composition is something else we went over- where to place things within the frame.

In the afternoon we had the teen (age 12-15) photography course. The teen courses usually have a similar format to the kids course but we go over more manual settings. We taught them about aperture for photographing close ups and landscapes, and shutter speed for photographing the moving animals. Throughout the course we give them challenges to help them experiment and get creative with their photography.
