Looking for Lines

This week at our after school photography clubs we have been teaching the children to really “look” and take in their surroundings. This weeks theme has been ‘Looking for Lines’. They are all around us, on the walls, in the bark on trees, on the floor, on tables, windows, doors, fences- everywhere! However, we don’t often notice them as they’re part of our everyday lives. By focusing on the theme of  lines, we are able to start training the children’s’ eye to actively notice whats around them. We have been blown away by the quality of image the after school club children have been producing! Here’s this week’s SHARP SHOOTERS! (best photos!)

Here’s a challenge to end: go out and photograph all the lines in your surroundings. Get creative, think about perspective and angles. You’ll be amazed at how something so simple can be so effective!
