I love Summer because…

This week at our after school photography clubs the children have been photographing Summer! The theme has been ‘I love summer because…’ and the children were asked to photograph their interpretation of the theme. On Monday the weather was very grey and dull, no sign of the sun at all! The children were very positive though, they decided its probably more accurate weather for an English summer so got creative and were able to portray the theme in other ways.

Harrison set his camera to self timer and climbed onto the play equipment. Playing outside with his friends reminds him of Summer holidays! And 10 year old Phoebe set her camera to ‘shoot close ups’ to get an amazing macro photo of a dandelion (as well as loads of other flowers and plants).

We were so lucky with the weather for the rest of the week. Beautiful sunshine for all the other after school photography clubs! Here are the children’s beautiful summery photographs:

Shadows, insects, angles, direct sunlight, landscapes and even a creative DIY beach scene! The after school photography club kids were so creative and imaginative this week. Photographing summer can be so much fun, especially when the sun is shining! Get outside with your camera this Spring/Summer and capture what Summer means to you.
