Holiday photography courses
We had rainy, wet, windy but very fun and informative few courses this half term in London, Surrey, Kent and Cheshire.
In a previous blog post we already wrote about the London Landscapes course, so you can read all about that here.
We were all over the place this holidays. After London we went down to the Brooklands museum in Surrey, where the kids were looking for symmetry and beauty in details of cars, planes and engines. The course was all about the aperture setting and how to capture close up details of our subjects in colour, and black and white.
After that we travelled to the beautiful Scotney Castle in Kent for the nature photography course. The rain and the winds couldn’t stop our kids and teens from exploring this beautiful National Trust Venue that provided a stunning backdrop for amazing landscape photographs and colourful close ups of water drenched flowers and gardens. Aperture was again our main focus of the course to either keep everything in focus – taking landscapes photos or to blur the background whilst taking a close up photo.
Up to the north
We headed up to the north to Tatton Park in Cheshire for a Nature and Wildlife course as we braved the rains and winds head on, exploring this beautiful National Trust Venue learning about taking action shots of the animals and close up photos of plants, looking for different viewpoints and reflections to take interesting photos and how to compose a landscape shot.
We finished the half term with an action Photography Course in Richmond. A perfect place to get a mix of a busy city life with taking action, panning and slow shutter speed shots of cars and people and on the other hand all the animals that are always in abundance in and around Richmond Park.
It was a very “English weather” half term, but our teens and kids were just amazing braving all the weather conditions as real pro’s. If you know someone aged 7-11, head to our kids courses page to book them into one of our upcoming photography courses. Or if you know a teenager aged 12-15, we also run photography courses for them, so head to the teens courses page to see what we have coming up. If you love these photos, you’ll love our Instagram page! We post all our kids & teens photos, as well as little photos & videos of the kids & teens in action. Click here to find our page! We look forward to seeing you soon!
